Arrow heads to the House of Commons

On June 10th, ARROW will be hosting an event at the House of Commons, thanks to the continuing help and support of our three local MPs.
The aim of the event is to officially launch ARROW International and to seek out business partners and supporters to help us continue, and extend the reach of the good work that has been done so far.

Radio Project Exchange
The Durban-Plymouth Youth Story Exchange is a four-month project integrating drama and radio-based storytelling. After spending two months in Durban working with ARROW’s South Africa group, Sarah Miller has arrived back in the UK and is preparing to work with the Plymouth ARROW Youth Group.
You can follow the project's journey so far here.
Events draw the crowd
We were thrilled to welcome our West Bank partners Al-Harah Theatre to Plymouth on 1st and 2nd May. Their current show has been touring widely as far afield as Japan and Italy and for two nights we hosted it at the Desmond Tutu Centre, Plymouth University College of St Mark & St John.
The show was well attended and well received and we wish the partners well on the rest of their tour.
Camilla Carr and Jon James' Book signing event was also filled to capacity. They survived fourteen months in Chechen captivity and after many years finally felt able to write about their experiences. This was a truely moving evening and we thank them for allowing us to host their event.
The ARROW programme, seeks to build a creative dialogue between centres around the world. For most of the youngsters involved in this project the website provides a rare opportunity for different cultures to transcend division and meet and discover, in a friendly and informal environment.
It is hoped in time this website will become a window into different cultures and lifestyles - through images and text, All of which will have been produced by the young people involved in the project.
“ARROW… is exciting particularly as it is so apt for our time.” - Archbishop Desmond Tutu

A story shared to help bridge the divides
Jeton Neziraj, our ARROW contact in Kosovo, has written a parable play for children called ‘The Bridge’.
It is a very imaginative piece and contains ideas that people in different parts of the world could find interesting and stimulating.
We at ARROW would like to offer this play to our other ARROW centres and partners to interpret and perform. Read how you could get involved here.
You can get involved in many other ways. Click here for more info.
